Volumouse
I love Volumouse. I use it at work a ton because I don’t have a volume control on my mouse. I find it burdensome to activate a media player window in order to change the volume. With Volumouse you can specify a hot key to hold down when rolling the mouse wheel to change the system volume. It comes in handy when you need to immediately mute or lower the volume.

musikCube Review
While I’m not particularly fond of the name, musikCube has exceeded my expectations. First of all, it’s open-source. On top of that, it has a relatively low footprint and it’s fast. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Last.fm plugin. Here are some nice features I noticed off the bat: filtering while you type (like in explorer, but more robust) customization of the view panels (add as many as...

Aloneliness
New track. I want to keep working on this track. I made it on a whim, like all my songs are made, and it’s hard to get back into it. Criticism always helps.

New CD's!
Yessssss. My tonevendor order was waiting for me in the mailbox today. I ordered: Lowlife – Eternity Road Ceremony – Self-Titled Skywave – Synthstatic Biosphere – Dropsonde All amazing albums. One track on Lowlife, entitled “Hollow Gut” sounds strikingly familiar to Joy Division. It’s almost like Ian was resurrected and called the band for a reformation. If you are a fan of noisey shoegaze,...

New Input Device!
It’s been a while since I changed my mouse. I’ve been attached to the Intellimouse for years now, but I finally made the switch. To start with the bad… I’m not very fond of the form-factor. My hand does not rest on it fully. That issue can be overruled by the remote functionality. So many times I’ve been in bed and the music is either too soft or too loud, (I have neighbors to worry about…). Now...

About the Blog and its Guts
Wow. What can I say? Other than, “I adore Ruby on Rails”. If you are a struggling Rails would-be developer, have no fear! I was in your shoes at one time, in fact, I’ve only taken off one shoe. You may ask, what it is that got me so thrilled about Rails? This pretty much sums it up. Here’s a break-down of my process over the past few days: Stumbled upon this wonderful, amazing, enlightening...
