Home sweet home.
Everyday
This Labor Day weekend was spent at my Nanny’s. My mom and I took a trip up to Hawkinsville, GA to see her because of her worsening health. Her memory is fading and she barely has an appetite. It’s very sad to see her in this state. She does remember me and most people, but doesn’t remember much after things happen. She has to take so much medicine!

Got 2 new books for the road: first is “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”, second is “Shambhala - The Sacred Path of the Warrior.” I bought Shambhala for an odd reason, but I was really intrigued by the fist 40 pages, plus it’s a cute little tiny thing.
My grandma is in the hospital
It feels like fucking Monday.
Coffee grinder takes 12.5 secs to grind 4cups. I will atempt to half the time in hopes of saving precious beans.
Hacking an opensource rails cart and submitting patches.
hacking substruct again. core developer asked me to make additional changes to my 2nd patch. woo! this is my first time contributing to an open-source project. it’s a blast!

Why am I still awake? I’m sad that I won’t get a full nights rest. I will guarantee I’ll look like ass tomorrow.

Amazon has “the path” used in the marketplace, but it’s $30. Meh…
I wish I could remember who I loaned “the path” to. It’s a great book on metaphysics, meditation, and even hypnotherapy. Some claim it is pseudoscience, however its message is too powerful to disregard. So this is a call out to the mysterious person that has my book. I need it back!
The first part of this storm (Tropical Storm Fay) is weak. Hoping it will pick up a bit when the eye passes over. I want some 60mph winds!
Meetings are stupid and pointless and a waste of time.
Wonder where Fay is gonna go? If it hits the gulf, it could strengthen. It’s coming straight for Pensacola.

I’m trying out Adobe Lightroom and I must say that it has exceeded my expectations. I thought for a while that iPhoto would suffice. I had tried out Aperture as well, but it didn’t have the inital impact that Lightroom did, plus it’s cheaper.
