Idea #24698y
Automatically update wallpaper based on weather readings.
Addictions are as follows:
1. Final Fantasy VI (III in US)
2. X-Files
Last time I beat Final Fantasy VI was when I was circa the age of 11. Back then, I had no idea you could tack on abilities to Gogo. I feel like a dumbass! Gau and Gogo are probably my two favorite characters.
Last time I watched X-Files was last night. I started watching them on a whim after getting hooked on Twin Peaks....

This is so amazing. I want a full album of this stuff.
I had more tornadic dreams. This time I was around people I did not know instead of family members. It was petrifying.
The debate was really informative. I don’t understand why McCain never talked directly at Obama. Pretty annoying!
I had a dream that China took over Pensacola Beach and were killing people for not following their rules. It was terrifying.
hanging out in #vim
Just when I thought I was getting close to being done, another task gets popped onto my already full array of stuff to do. Good thing the weather is cooling down a bit, or else I might go insane.
Downloading and installing UPS WorldShip. A whopping 600mb download just to test their XML auto-import feature for a client.
going out to Pace to check out the new Billy Bob’s restaurant
This Blog Has Been Deprecated →
I am ditching blogger because it is a pain in the ass to update. This is only the case when you are hosting your own files. It has to FTP all the files to my server and for some reason, that takes an…
My parents opened a new restaurant in Pace. Today, I’m going by to check it out and take some pics to put up on the website. Speaking of the website, I hope to use my new CMS service to host it. It will be a nice test to see how well it works. Gotta jump in the shower and get my dirty clothes together to wash at my parents house.
I looked forward so much to this morning because I love...
Just picked up a 24oz tall boy. The nap I took earlier today is keeping me up.
Nothing to write about recently. I have been working a lot on my new CMS idea. This weekend was supposed to include a whole bunch of updates and improvements, however I’m getting frustrated by how I will implement the user system on the server. I’d rather not have to create a new user for each account...
X-files: season 8, disc 2, episode 7.
modifying the nightly backup script for our servers and reclaiming space
holy hell. substruct is a clusterfuck of deprecated code. i can’t believe we’re using this in production.
This weather rules.
regarding 10.5.5 upgrade - fixed Mail.app from crashing by removing Safari 4.0 Dev preview ;)
i was here
First day of some really nice cool weather. Temp is 82 ‘round midday. I can’t wait to be able to wear winter clothes again.
i love mornings.
It’s hard to tell, but I’ve really grown a lot in terms of Ruby. I’ve spent most of tonight refactoring our radius tag system to be more modular. I’ve always wanted to be able to split up the tags into different files based on the tags. The CMS I have built utilizes polymorphism for resources. So, before, the tags file was huge… encompassing not only basic resource...
Trying to stay positive today… it’s kicking my ass. I don’t want to deal with it right now.
Spent today at my parents house washing clothes and hanging out. When I arrived, Savannah was in a bad mood because she had a loose tooth. My mom and I spent several hours trying to get her to pull it out, but she was incapable due to fear of pain. We can all empathize… even with a loose tooth, it still hurts to yank it out. She wanted mom to help, but when it came down to it, she...
just finished moving all my posts from blogger to tumblog.
http://toanswer.net/ uses twitter to ask/answer questions in 140 chars or less. looks neat.
If only I would have pryed a little deeper into tumblog, I would have converted from Blogger a long time ago. They allow private posts (duh!) and tags (duh!) So, there was nothing holding me back. Just finished importing all my posts from Blogger. There are a lot of stale links, broken images that I need to fix.
Commenting isn’t baked in here at tumblog, but I guess it’s not a big...
Working on manually importing all my blog posts from blogger. I love me some tumblog, seriously.
This morning has been chaotic! So much going on. I’m handling it rather well though.
Blogger sucks. It’s slow and is painful to update. I want a tumblog solution for blogging, but I want the ability to make private posts (like for journals) and tagging capabilities for organizing. Blogger utilizes tags, and it is very useful for linking to things inside my blog without having to scour for it. For instance, it works well for my lastfmtagger project. Perhaps I will propose my...

Contributing to Open Source (Substruct)
At Coco, we are starting to build out some e-commerce sites. In order to expedite the process, we are using Substruct as a solution. While working with it, I have noticed a few things that needed to be fixed.
With engines setup properly, you are capable of extending routes beyond what’s provided with the substruct engine. This was not the case beforehand. I was able to track down the bug...
